Where to park & What door to enter

Our church has a tiny parking lot, making parking an adventure. And then there's the question of which door to enter so that everyone doesn't turn to stare at you just because they forgot there was a door there. So, here are several pictures and some information that, it is to be hoped, will make visiting us a happier experience.

our church with doors and parking markedThis overview picture shows the doors and the primary Sunday parking.

Sunday Parking & Door:  On Sundays, our neighbors at Frontier Corporation generously allow us to use their employee parking lot (Parking A). This open-air lot is marked by a "One City Center" sign.

The small lot behind our church (Parking B) is generally saved for our handicapped, elderly and special needs members, friends and visitors. "Special needs" is defined by the person who decides he or she has them.

Parking is also available across Clinton Ave at free-on-Sunday meters surrounding Washington Square Park (which is at right, just outside the picture), at the Bausch & Lomb parking garage on Court St (catty-corner to our church) and along the Court St side of our church (where Door 2 is). There is free on-street Sunday parking along Woodbury Blvd across from the GEVA Theatre parking garage.

All of the doors work; we recommend you enter Door 3. Door 3 is handicapped accessible.

Weekday/Saturday Parking & Door:  On weekdays and Saturdays, half of our small parking lot (Parking B) is rented out, and we cannot use Parking A. The side of the lot next to the church has some open spaces for our visitors. If they are taken, parking is available across Clinton Ave at meters surrounding Washington Square Park, at the Bausch & Lomb parking garage on Court St (catty-corner to our church) and at the parking garage on Woodbury Blvd., across from GEVA Theatre ..... The city does not allow weekday parking along the Court St side of our church (where Door 2 is).

On weekdays during church or ministerial office hours, ring the bell at either Door 2 or Door 3. Someone will come to the door.

For close-ups, we're going to walk forward from the above picture, down Court Street toward Door 2.....

Door 2 - the Court Street entrance

 Door 2
As we walk down Court Street with Clinton Avenue behind us, we pass our Court Street entrance, labeled Door 2 in this picture.

This is our second most-used entrance.

There is a doorbell at right to summon someone in case the door is locked.

Door 3 is to the left, just around the corner of the building.

The car, which is at the far left of the picture, is in our tiny church parking lot (Parking B).

Now we're crossing the street toward the church, toward the parking lots .....

  Parking A and Parking B .....

From this vantage point, Door 2 is to the right and behind us.

There are three cars parked in our church parking lot (Parking B). Okay, two and a half cars.

The entrance to the Sunday parking lot (Parking A) is down the road just past a RTS bus stop shelter and is marked in the picture with a white arrow. We can see a couple of cars in this lot.

That wire grid in the distance (just above the two cars in our church lot) is part of Manhattan Square Park.

We've walked a couple more steps toward the parking lots.

This is our church lot (Parking B).

It truly is tiny.

The cars on the far or left side of the lot are in the spaces we rent out on weekdays and Saturdays. Look for parking on the right side of the lot, the side the white van is on.

The white van is parked next to Door 3.

The orange cones and dark-red posts guard the walkway to Door 3.

a view of the Sunday parking lot

Turning counter-clockwise a tad, we see the Sunday parking lot (Parking A).

The red car at the far left is leaving this lot. That's where you enter too.

This is the Frontier Corp. employee parking lot. It's full of employee cars on weekdays, so we don't park there, even if we're late to a meeting and we see an empty parking space.

in the Sunday lot, facing Door 3

  Door 3 .....

In this picture, we've gone to the Sunday parking lot (Parking A) and turned to face our church.

Door 3 is at the right end of our building, under the black-glassed overhead walkway, which has nothing to do with our church.

Head for Door 3. Door 3 is handicapped accessible.

If you cut through our church lot (Parking B) to get to Door 3, beware the guide cable that runs the perimeter of the church lot.

We're probably supposed to use the sidewalks.

Come on in! We're looking forward to meeting you.
